I Saw It

Looking out
of my window
today,
down at
the end
of the long
driveway
right in front of
Mike & Lauren's
place,
I saw it.
Buried deep
the centre
of it's
chlorophyl
cocoon,
was
one
crimson
leaf.
Shamelessly
reminding us
that it's
time.
