Apple-Tree

Today I will feature my daughter Aeden's poem,
and know that in my 'poetry quest' I no longer stand alone!

Sally

Old Man On The Hill

The old man sits upon the wooden stairs
His heart is stolen, face set in a glare
Scanning his eyes along his broken town
Fists forever clenched. Lips in a frown
He's labeled as the one who lost it all,
Watching as he sees society fall
Avoided by youth, he sits there alone
Upon those wooden stairs, frozen in stone.

He knew he'd go, this world was deranged,
He was in awe by the outcome, everything's changed.
