It's Thursday
Through the hustle and bustle of the busy work day,
I sense that there's something artificial.
About the fourteenth of February,
when declaring one's love physical and mental.
The prices of chocolate and flowers go up,
greeting cards in demand and all scattered.
With people's emotions and wallets lined up,
often to have their hearts shattered.
So sometimes it's wise to skip the kerfuffle,
to boycott the capitalist pull.
Remember that loving is always a shuffle,
despite the date up on the wall.
