Shalom

As I drove away
with my second
truck load,
I knew it was over.
I gave them
three years,
and a little
piece of me
that will remain
in that building
forever.
Between the boxes
and silk flowers,
I packed
many wonderful
memories.
I took home a
goody bag
full of
delicious friends.
I left the dirt
in the
trash can.
The garbage truck
will come tomorrow
to take it away
for eternity.
Leaving behind
only what was
worth saving.
