Happy Spring! My family has been on Spring Break for the past week. I will be joining them today as I begin my two week Passover Break. I am looking forward to indulging in poetry (and maybe a few other things).

We're not even
related
by blood,
and yet you
care for
and nurture us
with familial
devotion.
Throughout
my father's
medical
challenges,
you have been
present.
Encircling
my mother
like a
twin in
the womb.
Being the
shoe's lace,
the pillow's
case,
the beam
holding
the building.

I thank you
from my
every aspect,
for being
such an
integral part
of our
village.
