A Pleiades Poem

Car-less

Car is broken down and too expensive to fix
Car-less with three kids who eat as much as a soccer team
Consequently, every day we are carrying home bags of food from the grocery store
Carefully planning events around bus routes
Collecting our change and counting it for the bus driver
Calling on a friend to borrow her car so that we can make it to a wedding in Langley
Cautious not to take for granted the fact that we're only car-less
